#177 Who stole my c's?
Dec 02, 2024Welcome to Weekly Whisper #177.
Who stole my C's?
Time is one of our most coveted currencies.
We never have enough of it to do the things we want to do.
We never know when it’ll run out.
It passes whether we like it or not.
So, what’s stealing your time?
ā° CLOCK
Is your attention on being early or on time? Are you driven by AM or PM? Are you focused on speed, efficiency and ensuring the minutes are optimised?
If you’re trying to catch a train then the clock would be appropriate.
š CALENDAR
Is your attention on what’s going on in your day? Are you back to back? Are you driven solely by achievement? Is there a pace and effectiveness to how you collide with the world and the people you interact with?
Remembering an important anniversary would be a good use of calendar.
š§ COMPASS
Is your attention on the general direction of your progress or regression? How do you handle a detour and how do you get back on track… directionally? Is it important for you to determine which way you are facing?
A career or job change might be a good way to consider compass.
š¤ CONNECTION
Is your attention placed on energy and the energy exchange between you and others? Are you focused on strengthening the relationship? Are you noticing the moments to be compassionate or to challenge?
When discussing a difficult topic remaining in connection might be appropriate.
š CONTRIBUTION
Is your attention directed towards how you are showing up? Are you connected to your past, current and future identity? What’s your intention as you interact with the world?
When pondering your place thinking of how you want to contribute might be appropriate.
Of course, we need an appropriate balance of all the C’s.
When you are thrown off track, the loss of which C frustrates you the most?
Which C demands more of your attention than others?
Is that the right balance for you?
Which C is it time for now?
