#182 What will you do with your one wild and precious life?

Week after week.
Day after day.
Event after event.
Moment after moment.
I’m confronted with the question above.
Everyone knows it rationally and sometimes a year, a week, a day, an event or a moment slams the emotion of it right in front of us.
Sometimes it’s a gentle nudge and my face generates a knowing and ironic smile.
Occasionally, it wakes me up.
It can rattle me a little;
“Have I been living up to my own expectations and promises?”
It can confront me a little;
“Have I really recognised how precious it is?”
It can trigger guilt;
“What have I said no to that I should have said yes to and vice versa?”
It’s fascinating how the same question can feel urgent in one moment and grounding in the next.
When life feels overwhelming, it’s a call to action: stop overthinking, start moving.
When life feels still, it’s a reminder: This is enough. I’m are enough.
Life, as we all know too well, is messy and unpredictable. There are twists and turns, highs and lows, victories and losses.
And as it seems to pass by ever so quicker, it’s so easy to let the moments blur together, to let life just happen to us instead of fully living it.
What if we paid attention—not just to the big, life-changing moments, but to the small, fleeting ones too?
What if we stopped waiting for the “right time” and started daring to live right now?
This moment—this moment that you’re reading this—is part of your one wild and precious life. It might not feel extraordinary. It might not be Insta-worthy. But it’s real. Will you savour it?
